The foursome competed in a state-wide battle of the bands called "Rock Your Way To The Top" (created by Turtle Creek & Leelanau Sands Casino & Joey Callahan of 13mg), where industry insiders like Mark Farner of Grand Funk Rail Road who judged the group through the preliminary and finale commented "Damn nice and great." Martin Atkins of Nine Inch Nails exclaimed "Great hooks & live energy". Terri Ray (Program Director) of 97.5 WKLT fm radio station said
" You own the stage! I LOVE the songs!" and Grammy Award winning producer Howie Beno gave them a perfect 40/40 score and succinctly described them in one word: "Excellent"
This conscientious group of Michigan residents believe in giving back to their community. 2009 to current EverShine has performed in many charity concerts aimed to raise awareness and aid for several families & Michigan NonProfits. Their goal is to continue to lend their talents whenever possible to impact change.
When not on stage performing and doing charity work, EverShine found time in the studio with Howie Beno to forge their debut album, "The Core" released April 2010. The group set about creating a new look and sculpting a newly refined sound which he describes as "Smoky backroom bluesy vocals set against an undeniable hard driving force of rhythm and guitars."
Recently EverShine's main focus has been on EXPANDING and writing material and creating videos! The group has released their second full length cd with Howie Beno. They are proud to partner up with the Non Profit Angel Ambassadors to raise awareness aid for Veterans and their families with their second full length cd called "Rise Above" released 11/2013. Part of the proceeds go to help Northern Michigan Veteran's through the local NonProfit - Angel Ambassadors. http://www.angel-ambassadors.org
